Myth
#1: The Web is A Mature Medium.
Ezernet's
answer: the web revolution hasn't ended! It has barely begun! Some
self appointed Web Scientists or Gurus will tell you that if you
have not already carved out a market share, you're too late! At
EzerNet, our short-form response to such nonsense is "Nuts!"
The
Web has a long way to go in its evolution.
We are seeing only the tip of the iceberg. Broadband is
not even here yet. Wireless technology is pushing itself out of
the womb. Virtual Reality is just that - virtual reality! Not
only will bandwidth increase, significantly new services will
emerge in the near future. Three years ago, who had heard of the
cost benefits of Application Service Providers? Yet, from 1998
to 2003, business analysts forecast a growth in such services
from $900 Million to $22.7 Billion dollars per year, with significant
benefits in both cost and efficiency to companies that participate.

Fifty
years from now, the Web will still be evolving!
Myth
#2: The Web is just another Mass Market.
Mass
Market?
Again...
NONSENSE! Mass market doesn't exist on the Web! It exists on TV,
Radio, Newspaper, yah, and all the other boring old media! The
Web provides a different kind of media -- so different, we call
it New Media! This is where we create a whole new world, a world of individualism, customization,
information, and the Intelligent Agents necessary to facilitate such changes.
Myth
#3: Dot com equals instant success!
Wrong
again! Anyone with $35 buckaroos can set up a dot com overnight!
However, you need to really understand how the Web works, about
security, about people, about non-Web-related infrastructures
such as postal systems and telecommunications; about consumer/subscriber
readiness to accept new technologies; about frauds, advertising,
creativity ... basically everything about the Web as well as everything NOT
about the Web!
Doesn't
make sense to you? Then
keep your day job while you get your feet wet on the Web. Once you have drowned a half a dozen times,
you'll understand! And then, Ezernet will be there to help you do the job
right.
